Jacqueline Sarkissian is currently waking up San Diego dark and early starting at 4:30 a.m. She’s the morning news reporter on the FOX 5 Morning News. Jacqueline is so happy to be back home in Southern California after living in Texas for more than 5 years. She joined the FOX 5 crew in March 2020 from Austin, Texas. Not going to lie — it was tough at first living in Longhorn Country since she’s a proud Trojan, who was still slightly bitter over the 2005 National Championship loss to Texas.
While in Austin, Jacqueline reported on many national stories such as the deadly bombings that terrorized the city for nearly three weeks in March 2018. She also reported on the church shooting in Sutherland Springs that killed 26 people and covered the horrific aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
Before moving to the Capitol City, Jacqueline was a reporter and anchor at the CBS affiliate in Tyler, Texas. It was much different than the big city life she was used to, but she always thought of Tyler as the state’s secret gem. Jacqueline loved it and made the best of friends. During her time there, she was assigned to cover the deadly tornado in Van, Texas, and the Dallas police shootings that killed five officers in July 2016.
Like mentioned before… Jacqueline is a Southern California native, born and raised in Diamond Bar. She graduated with honors from USC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Fight On!
Jacqueline is 100% Armenian and beyond proud of it. She loves connecting with any fellow Armenians, so if you’re reading this, reach out! She also wants everyone to know she is Justin Timberlake’s No. 1 fan — feel free to challenge her on all things related to JT and *NYSNC.
